Founding Note: Why Excalicord Exists

What this project is based on, what we have already shipped, what still remains unfinished, and the product philosophy behind every decision.

Shipping Log: What We Have Actually Shipped

A concrete note covering the recorder base, bilingual release, blog launch, and the next most useful feature direction for browser and media explanation.

What We Have Built So Far

  • Excalidraw canvas integrated as the core whiteboard engine.
  • Scene-based workflow for switching and organizing explanation frames.
  • Camera bubble with shape, size, and drag controls.
  • Teleprompter with speed and opacity controls, plus draggable panel.
  • Local WebM recording pipeline in browser.
  • Bilingual shell and Excalidraw UI language switch (EN / 中文).
  • Personal editorial blog for philosophy, shipping notes, and roadmap tracking.

Roadmap / Still Unfinished

  • Embed external video and explain while controlling playback.
  • Operate local web pages while narrating in one unified recording flow.
  • Mixed recording mode: whiteboard + browser page + camera + mic in one timeline.
  • Project persistence, reusable templates, and richer export formats.
